PRESIDENT, DIRECTOR OF ECONOMICS AND MARKET ANALYSIS
Daniel M. Conway is a real estate marketing and research authority specializing in residential, commercial/industrial and golf course developments. Mr. Conway has had over 40 years’ experience as an urban land economist. Mr. Conway is a frequent guest speaker for economic associations and trade organizations and is a member and frequent speaker for the Urban Land Institute. He has been a real estate and urban land economic honorarium instructor at the University of Colorado and at the University of Denver. He has published many articles including the CCIM Magazine piece entitled "Market Analysis, the Road to Profit, Prosperity and Peace of Mind". Other professional and community activities of Mr. Conway have included membership on the Board of Directors of a federally chartered national bank and a member of the Mile High Transplant Bank. He also participated on the Archbishop's Inner City Sun School Committee to assess the future needs of elementary education in the inner city of Denver.
For the last 25 years, as President of THK Associates, he has conducted numerous residential, commercial, industrial and golf course economic feasibility and market studies, socioeconomic impact assessments and financial planning studies in all 50 of the United States, as well as a number of foreign countries.

VICE PRESIDENT, DIRECTOR OF LANDSCAPE ARCHITECTURE AND PLANNING
Kevin Shanks has over 32 years of experience as a Landscape Architect. For the last twenty-three years, Mr. Shanks has been a Senior Landscape Architect and Project Manager for THK Associates, Inc., responsible for projects that require a full range of landscape architectural services. He is experienced in land use planning, project master planning, preliminary and detailed site design, graphic presentation, construction documentation, specification writing, irrigation design and construction administration. In addition to Mr. Shanks' project responsibilities, he is Vice President and Principal of THK and manages the Landscape Architectural and Planning Department, overseeing all design and planning projects undertaken by the firm.

PRINCIPAL, SENIOR ECONOMIST
Mr. Elzi has been with THK Associates, Inc. since 1981 and during that time, he has assisted clients with development and financing decisions concerning all types of land uses including golf course, residential, office, industrial, hotel/motel and related opportunities. Mr. Elzi has completed over 100 fiscal impact, Special District/TIF financing structures and related assignments in his career. Over the last 20 years, he has examined projects in over fifty major metropolitan areas around the nation. Mr. Elzi is especially adept at examining market strategies for various types of properties.

SENIOR PROJECT MANAGER, LANDSCAPE ARCHITECT
Julia Gamec is a registered Landscape Architect and Project Manager for THK Associates, Inc. She received her B.S. from the University of Colorado, Boulder, where she studied Architecture. Landscape architecture has been a perfect blend of Julia’s passions: the built environment and horticulture. Julia maintains an interest in sustainable practices and received her LEED AP BD+C accreditation in 2010. Key projects in Julia’s career include The Old Game Check Station Trailhead and Twin Tunnels in Idaho Springs, CO; South Platte Greenway Visioning and Master Planning efforts (RINO, RISO and RVIP) in the City and County of Denver, CO and the I-25/Ilex reconstruction in Pueblo, CO. Julia enjoys spending time outdoors with her dog and is an avid gardener.

SENIOR DESIGN PROFESSIONAL
Dave has been practicing landscape architecture and urban design for over 40 years. He has worked in both the public and private sector, including the National Park Service which allowed him to practice in many parts of the country and Vail Associates which provided him work in the Rocky Mountains. Dave has also designed many site plans for schools, libraries and corporate facilities. He has concentrated on projects that “get built”, so he has a great deal of experience in design, construction documents and field supervision. He now concentrates on design and sketching of design concepts.

SENIOR MARKET ANALYST
Braden Demmerly is a market analyst at THK Associates, Inc. with an interest in the development and the logistics behind evaluating commercial real estate investments and development. In 2013, he completed his Bachelor of Arts in Business Studies from Drew University in New Jersey, concentrating heavily on economics while also playing for their lacrosse team. Braden has assisted in local and national projects of all varieties including, but not limited to golf course, self-storage, residential, land, mixed use, retail, office, industrial, hotel and motel. He is very resourceful in acquiring market and economic data for properly evaluating and projecting accurate demand per the specific projects in which he is involved.

Justin is a market analyst at THK with over six years of experience performing a variety of single-family, multi-family and commercial real estate feasibility studies throughout the country. Using data to drive strategy, he has assisted in the acquisition of over 50 projects for a national home builder as well as financing for several Low-Income Housing Tax Credit (LIHTC) developments. Justin graduated from the University of Nevada with a B.S. in Finance and later from the University of Denver with a M.S. in Real Estate and Construction Management.

Ellie Garza joined the THK office in February 2015 supporting the team as a landscape designer. She graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Landscape Architecture and a minor in Urban and Regional Planning Sciences from Texas A&M University. During the fall of 2013, she studied abroad in Bonn, Germany focusing on urban revitalization and projects that focused on creating connections to important water sources to the people in the city. During her studies, she researched the reuse of neglected and industrial sectors of the city and has an affinity for the intricacy and importance of our natural water systems. She has helped create many successful projects involving the revitalization of derelict city sectors and ecologically sustainable alternative landscape strategies.

A Midwest transplant, Sydney Shell received her Bachelors of Landscape Architecture from Iowa State University, with focus on water systems and infrastructure, and utilizing water resources to their maximum potential. Sydney thrives on the exploration of new reaches within the profession through creative problem solving to reveal purpose and function. You can see her passion for creating meaningful places that balance environmental, cultural, social, and economic sustainability. Her projects have brought life to urban parks, trails and open spaces, natural areas, stream restoration, river corridors & creeks, and water infrastructure.

MARKET AND FEASIBILITY ANALYST
Tom Hanna has a deep understanding of the sciences and logistics behind real estate development and construction management. Tom graduated from the University of Denver’s Franklin L. Burns School of Real Estate and Construction Management with an M.S. in Real Estate with an emphasis on Integrated Project Delivery and design-build methodology. Tom’s grasp of physical and quantitative measures have allowed him to excel in performing development analyses of all sorts. His breadth of knowledge has positioned him as a resource in projects ranging from industrial real estate financial analysis to assisted living care community design. BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT DIRECTOR
Randall Navarro is native of Colorado and an outdoor recreation enthusiast. After serving in the Marine Corps, Randall received his Masters in Policy Management from Georgetown University and has worked in communities around Colorado on various recreation related projects. Randall has extensive experience with government contracts and grants and has assisted many of THK's clients with strategic planning to maximize capital expenditures with grant awards.

Rita Shanks has been the controller at THK for over 17 years. Rita's responsibilities include accounting and Human Resources, as well as management of THK. Rita is currently working part time and is moving towards full retirement.
Before being employed at THK, Rita was the Controller and Operations Director for an Englewood based equipment leasing company for over 15 years.
Karen Sattergren has been the Administrative Assistant for THK for 12 years. Karen's responsibilities include support for both the Economic and Landscape Architecture Staff.
