The landscape design for the Billings Farm & Museum transformed a working farmyard into an outdoor display area for a heritage museum that reflects 1800’s agrarian principles and technological advances.  Founded by Laurence and Mary Rockefeller, the museum is built around the farm where Mary was born and raised. The courtyard accommodates horse drawn wagons that originate at the Woodstock Inn and provides shade and water for the horses.  A small fenced area is designed for animal displays and the central lawn area is used for numerous functions and activities.
