Burns Residence
Client:
Working with Cottle Carr and Yaw architects, Chris Dunn, while a partner at SE Group, was the landscape architect for this spectacular mountain home. With ski-in/ski-out access and surrounded by mature trees, the siting of the house and preservation of trees during construction was important. A water feature designed to appear as a natural stream is the central organizing feature of the gardens and connects the arrival court to the lower level terrace. Local stone and native plant material are placed so the house appears to be an extension of the natural landscape.
